Hotel Maarmorilik
In parallel with the exploration activity, we’ve been developing the mining camp and the infrastructure.
Recently the exploration camp was host to over 40 occupants, mainly due to the in-flux of visitors investigating various aspects of the mine.
Everyone gathered for meals in the newly refurbished accommodation block left over from previous mining operations and now renamed “Hotel Maarmorilik”.
The clientele of the hotel was truly international - we have had visitors from Greenland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Holland, Switzerland, UK, Australia, Philippines, Canada, and Ireland.
The camp is fitted with a sizable kitchen, pantry, laundry, and even has a real sauna (courtesy of our Finnish drillers). When mining starts the camp will need to be expanded further to cater for over 100 people who are expected to be on site at any one time.
