You should be fit and healthy because all jobs at Nalunaq Gold Mine will involve some manual work, bending and lifting. Your colour vision may be tested. There may be a requirement to climb ladders, work at heights, inspect low lying machinery, access confined spaces. All employees will be required to undertake work in the underground mine as and when required. I am physically able as per the above description (please tick box):

All employment at Nalunaq Gold Mine will require that you have strong practical skills and an interest in understanding how machines work. You will need good observational skills to spot faults in machines and work activities, incorporating a logical, methodical approach to problem solving.

Good communication skills are needed to discuss with work colleagues what problems may exist with machines or work tasks. You must also be able to explain problems and repairs/remedial action to supervisors and managers.

The ability to understand technical information and diagrams is important. You should also be able to write reports of completed repairs/remedial work. You must be able to understand and follow safety regulations - you may be dealing with machinery, chemicals or high voltage equipment.
